Thousands of posters, each with its own story
Yaris Poster is a poster brand offering thousands of designs in many styles. Every design is sold in six sizes, from 13×18 to 50×70 cm, and customers can order their poster with a mat and a frame.
The first thing we solved in the migration to Shopify was the product structure. We combined the size options and the frame and mat add-ons within a single product. Customers choose a size and add a mat and frame on the same page, without hunting for separate products in the cart. That ended the confusion in the cart.
The real challenge was how fast the catalog grows. Writing a description, choosing tags and preparing image alt text and file names for every new design was not sustainable by hand across thousands of products. Products uploaded in a hurry also performed poorly in search engines and in on-site search.
